This is the first installment of my weight loss journey and over-all health issues. This is my personal health vlog. I hope it will be an inspiration to other middle-aged women who are having some of the same health issues.

It will be interesting to hear what you are doing. I have spinal fusion too and have problems with it sometimes. I like your advise on that too.? I will be looking for your videos. I am 54 so I need to move around more too but sometimes my back complains.

Yay! I am going to be losing weight too! I finally have been able to afford insurance and? can start losing weight the right way! I am a new subscriber and can't wait to do this with you! yay!

I think Omega 3 ...
I think Omega 3 Fish Oil is great for your memory AND you can get the fatty acids just from fish (I think salmon might be the best? Or maybe just the tastiest. =p) which is ALSO great for eating healthy! I'm? a crocheter but it's really amazing that you're putting your journey out there for people to see. GOOD LUCK!

If you have cable ...
If you have cable go to on demand and go to Health and Fitness or something like that and you can do a variety of free full length exercise videos. You can do walking,? yoga, weights, everything is already included in your cable bill. good luck.

I would really suggest taking measurements - there were weeks that I didn't seem to loose any weight but I had lost inches and it's nice to see that progress! Good luck and thank you for? sharing your journey with us!

So proud of you for starting this. Since I started YouTube and holding myself accountable I've lost 65 pounds. It's not easy,? but we can do this. It's awesome.

There is a curves down the road from my house. I have friends who do Curves. Maybe I'll? check it out if I can afford it. Walking is free.

BeThinTexas.. I like that! I hope you are able to overcome all your medical problems and keep driving forward! I love that you are able to see that their is a way to get through it! I'm not a doctor or anything like that and other then a personal training course? I took.. I can't give you any advice in that matter, but!! I am here to support and I know you can do it! You already no all the cons so you know what you can do, which is great! You sound very knowledgeable! Let's do this =)

I'm the? same way ...
I'm the? same way about soft drinks, my poison of choice was Dr Pepper, now if I drink one, it's so harsh, it assaults my mouth! I don't like them any more. On occasion, I get soda water (bubbly) and mix it with 100% juice, that's good and lots better for you.

Another bit of unsolicited advice, I used to work for Curves, a gym for women, I love their gyms, there are no (creepy or otherwise)? guys, you will be working out with women just like you, not skinny Barbies, you are weighed and measured when you start and each month, they have a set program so you don't have to guess at anything, there is always someone there to help, it's fun and easier than you think. You get strength, cardio and flexibility in about 30 minutes, you go a minimum of 3X a week

I'm a crocheter and ...
I'm a crocheter and interested in weight loss, so I will enjoy your weight loss videos along with your crochet vids, I'm also 45 (does that make me middle age???LOL) Just a bit of unsolicited advice, take it for what it's worth (my 2? cents), look up turmeric, in the pill form, it has such great benefits, it's also one of the less expensive supplements. It's anti-cancer, it's great for your liver (your liver is your filter), it's an anti-inflammatory, and lots and lots more.

One really good way ...
One really good way to lose weight is Brisk, "sweating", Walking! I did this with an mp3 player loaded with my favorite music to avert boredom, and lost 30lbs in 3 1/2 months with no dieting of any kind! I used a watch and timed 20 minutes out, found a landmark and returned home! Then I timed a half hour out, and returned!? I wasn't trying to lose weight, I just wanted to feel better! I weighed myself one night for fun and was blown away by the results! If you're sweating your pace is right!
